On-Demand Texture Streaming is now turned on by default and can’t be turned off, so the best workaround is tomake sure it’s Minimal, set the Allocated Texture Cache Size to 30, and turn Download Limitson with the lowest limit possible. This will disable the setting once 1GB has been downloaded. Shadow and Lighting
Shader Quality has a big impact on performance, so some players may want to set it to Very Low rather than just Low. However, this will make shadows appear pixellated and unnatural. From our testing, using Low provides the best balance of performance and visual fidelity. Otherwise, everything under the Shadow and Lighting section should be disabled. While disabling all of the Environment settings technically gives the best performance, lowering Water Quality doesn’t have a particularly big impact. As such, it’s worth raising this setting slightly while lowering all the others as much as possible. If you prioritize visuals over performance, consider changing Tessellation to either Near or All too. When enabled, this gives certain textures a 3D effect that makes the world feel less flat. This will affect your FPS, but it makes a big difference to visual quality, so you’ll have to decide if the trade-off is worthwhile. The FOV sweet spot for most players is between 95and 115. This offers the best visibility and makes sure you aren’t missing out on vital information at the edges of your screen, which is really important in multiplayer given how fast-paced the action is. You’ll also want to make sure your ADS Field of View is set to Affected, as this matches your FOV when aimed in to your regular FOV. Not only does this make ADS less jarring, but it also reduces visual recoil, so it becomes easier to track targets at longer distances. Article continues after adCamera
![]() You’ll want to turn off all types of Motion Blur and Film Grain, as it causes unnecessary visual clutter on your screen. The Inverted Flashbang setting turns your screen black instead of a blinding white, so it’s a nice quality-of-life feature to turn on. Depending on your PC specs, you can expect to get at least triple-digit FPS with these settings, although they won’t make your game look the prettiest. Feel free to experiment around with your settings to find the perfect balance of performance and visuals. Article continues after adPC system requirements
